The sad part about wars is the fact that they even exist. They are not something new and they date back centuries.

The First War Recorded

Historians have been able to learn a great deal as to what took place centuries ago. They have discovered that the first war to actually be recorded was in Mesopotamia in 2700. But, all one has to do is a review of the biblical times to really see how common war was back in that time.

The Hundred Years War

Just as the name implies this was a war that lasted for over 100 years. It took place between France and England, during a time span of 1337 to 1453. The crux of the war was territorial.

The First Global War

It all began in 1754 which at that time was the French-Indian war comprised of French and British. armies. The war quickly made its way into Europe. Then the conflict drew in India and Africa. Also the Pacific. It was dubbed as the seven years war.

The War of 1812

England entered battle once again in a war that lasted from 1812 to 1815. The disputes were many that included trade disputes.

World War One

This war is known as the first world war. Although sometimes referred to as the “Great War” or the “War to End All Wars”. It began in 1914 and ended in 1918. The war drew in many allies that affected many different countries.

World War Two

This too was classed as a global war. The time span for this was between 1939 to 1945. There are still several veterans alive today that can recall the horrors of this war first hand.

There have been other wars following this. Each one just as devastating as the others as every war claims loss of life. The question is often raised as to whether there will ever be world peace.
